Drawing on baking paper—making art with unconventional materials

Seeing possibilities of making art on baking paper and other everyday materials

Ever since I heeded my instincts to make art on a 30 meters long roll of children’s paper for the monologue\worship\conversations series, I felt liberated from keeping to the confines of standard materials.

Nowadays, I see possibilities of making art on everyday, unconventional materials from jam jar wrappings to packaging materials, haha.

Not that I’m forgoing my watercolour papers or canvases, but I am enjoying seeing art in a different way. That tickles my artist’s heart—a lot. And I'm happy.

p.s. Around the same time, I happened to be reading The Creative Act by Rick Rubin and, as an artist, I am encouraged to know that I’m on the right track creatively-speaking.
