Three things that I’m most grateful for today—14 Oct 2016

Reflecting with a beer

1. Being able to kick back and reflect on my day.

After a tiring working day, I wanted to squeeze in a quick 15 minutes workout before going to our cell group meeting, but instead I overspent time scrolling through Instagram! I was annoyed at myself. The saving grace is me insisting to myself that I will commit to building my habit of reflecting on the things that I’m grateful for the day. So, that I did. To top it off, with half a can of white beer.

2. God sent me lessons (again) when I asked for patience.

I knew better than to ask God for patience. Do I think that God will give me ‘patience’ gift-wrapped in a basket? Of course not! He sends me situations and people that tick me off and puts me to the test—how will I fare under these circumstances? Will I react or will I choose my respond? He is t-r-a-i-n-i-n-g me to be patient. Urghh! I’m thankful for these lessons, annoying as they are.

3. Great meeting with a volunteer who understands about brand.

It was a breath of fresh air to have a meeting with someone who does branding for companies. No need to explain about, anything. I felt at home, ahhhh.
