This artwork, titled “In Its Place” is the same title as my poem, written in 2018 during a tough season in my life. One day, the Holy Spirit asked me: who put the sun in its place? Immediately, I gained confidence. And I remembered—who I am, who God is, whose I am. And I wrote this poem.
In Its Place
Who puts the sun in its place?
For dawn to break; for dusk to fade.
It’s God—truly, Holy, Almighty.
Who reigns now and forevermore.
In 2021, I drew inspiration from the poem and created the artwork you now see.
