What is your life
An invitation to live life differently. This drawing was inspired by the Bible verse “You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away” (James 4:14).
It’s about an invitation to view and live life on earth with a longer-term perspective—as a pilgrim on a journey to eternity. How would we live life [differently] knowing that life on earth is not all there is to it, and it’s not the end?
This is an artwork from the Meditations in nature collection.
Nature offers a refuge for quiet meditation; a time to slow down. This collection was inspired by the time of gazing out from my window, looking at the lush trees and birds surrounding me. Most of them were drawn when I was feeling blue during the pandemic. I found solace from quietly observing my surroundings—a practice I have gratefully adopted as a part of my life, post-pandemic.
